Most people have personal experiences with sexism in their primary line of work or field of study that affect their personal view on the state of feminism.
For Laurie Lane who’s been in massage therapy since the early 90s, she said she’s seen a form of reverse sexism in the profession. She when she first started out there were a lot of men and women doing massage therapy, but now she sees mostly women being massage therapy.
For Alyssa Vanderziel, who is a masters student in epidemiology at Michigan State University, a male dominated field, she said she’s seen it since she was an undergraduate student.
